Vegan Products
All of our products are suitable for vegetarians. However, one line is not suitable for vegans which is our Lip Balm range, which contains beeswax, although no animals have been harmed to produce this range. We recommend our 100% Certified Organic Shea Butter.
Ingredients
All essential oils used are guaranteed to be 100% pure and unadulterated. Our range is based on a mixture of the best quality ingredients, utilising; organic, natural and naturally derived ingredients. We use natural preservatives and anti-oxidants to give our products their shelf life.
Some preparations [such as water & oil mixtures] use a broad spectrum preservative that is a synthetic composite, in the total product this is strictly less that 0.5% and has been dermatologically and toxicologically tested and found to be both harmless and tolerated without any skin problems.
Safety
Essential Oils to avoid during pregnancy include: Basil, Cedarwood, Chamomile [early months], Clary Sage, Jasmine, Juniper, Peppermint, Rosemary, Tarragon and Thyme.
For babies, children & the elderly it is recommended that the dosage of essential oils be reduced by half. Some essential oils should be avoided by those with epilepsy & sufferers of high or low blood pressure.
Always read product labels before use & seek advice from a qualified practitioner.
Storage
As with any natural product. Please store out of direct light and in a cool, dry area. Always secure caps on jars after use. Using a spatula helps maintain product interigy and hygeine. We use glass where possible to ensure the integrity of the product is maintained. Please recycle our glass containers.
PET
We use PET plastic [Polyethylene] for safety as it's friendlier on the environment than PVC. So please help our environment and recycle our PET containers.
Environmentally Friendly
All of our promotional materials are printed on paper sourced from sustainable forests and use elemental chlorine free bleaching processes. We choose 100% biodegradable cushioning material when packing our orders. This material is 100% biodegradable made from starch [wheat & potatoes], it composts without residues, rapid organic recycling, made from annually renewable resources and is water soluble [you can flush it or dissolve it in the sink], no groundwater pollution.
We recycle all of our; raw ingredient containers; packaging and re-use boxes for shipping and storeage where ever possible.
Our office is eco friendly with a policy on open windows not air-conditioning, natural lighting, and sleep modes for PC's during the day and all electronic euqipment turned off after hours.
With a reliance on the environment for our ingredients we take our responsibility to look after the planet seriously and our actions reflect those beliefs.
